Storming through the compound where the orks have taken over. Zharkov sends clippy his cyber skull to scout around, and finds some orks up ahead on the path they are taking. They concoct a plan to place a bomb at a choke point and lay a trap, but find an ork bomb right on that spot (in a pile of trash). Zharkov attempted to disarm it, but ended up just smashing it into a bigger pile of trash. They could not tell if it was disarmed or not, so they left immediately, and it exploded quickly behind them.
They attempted to make another plan to surprise the orks, when some squigs with bombs attached to them ran into the room. Drake psychically frightened one to run away, while Trina sliced one into pieces using her chainsword. However, the bomb attached to it was still active. The squig which ran exploded, just after running past some orks which were running towards them! Priss tried to kick the dead squig away and managed to send it directly towards Trina. But, Valthrain managed to pick up the squig and hurl it towards the oncoming orks, where it exploded, killing an ork. However, there were more behind, and a giant hulking monster ran into the room, as large as a grox, and twice as ferocious. They were taken off guard, but managed to kill off the monster, even though Valthrain was gravely damaged, and had to fight off his fright. He dealt a killing blow, but then another of the beasts ran through the room towards him.
They found the lost guardsmen, and all of them seemed emaciated and hungry, though the commanding officer seemed perfectly healthy, and bigger and stronger than normal (Siska). However, a group of large orks was heading their way, so they immediately ran back the way they had come. Valthrain planted some explosives to block their chase, and it exploded just as a huge warboss came through the door. But he kept coming! He chased them all the way back to their transports, where he was hit by a bomb, just as he raised his huge, unidentified gun to fire at them.
The ships lifted off, and Valthrain made a stirring speech over the voxcom, earning another piety.
On the transport ship, Drake and Valthrain both noticed that Siska’s men were not sitting near him, they were all on the other side of the ship. Priss also noticed this difference, and went to talk to the men, and tried to glean what was going on. They seemed to be acting similary to abused children, being both scared and admiring of Siska.
Valthrain went to approach Siska and ask him about their ordeal, but noticed that it was physically warmer in his presence. Priss came over as well, as Siska began talking about how dark it was in that place, how they did not see the sun for days at a time. He seemed extremely stressed, and the heat seemed to grow as he grew more stressed. He asked her what she would do to save the men. She asked him back, what he would do to save them now.
Siska said that as the emperor turned away from him, so he turned away from the emperor. He said the prayers of someone who would listen. He said some bizarre words in a guttural tongue, which Trina used her knowledge of heresy to recognize as ‘Blood for the blood god’. Priss recognized, as it was in their original tongue. He seemed to be preparing to take some action, seemingly transforming. His men seemed to be growing agitated, and were unsure whether they should support or fight him. Trina took out her prayer book of Ionosis and read a prayer to sway them back.
Ultimately, Sisko transformed into a berserker, and his men were cowed into not supporting him. Priss told him that though he complained the Emperor did not answer his prayer, that she had asked for guidance on how to save him – and it would now involve eviscerating him.
He is a tough opponent, but as his men did not side with him, he was very beatable by their combined forces. They end up defeating him, but have to come up with a story for what happened on the ship.
