Giant fungus farm room, like 60×60 meters. Walls all over the hive are papered with propaganda posters, saying to use purex on themselves and guns on their enemies/outsiders. Inside the fungus farm they had some about appreciating fungus farmers.
The party was pulled in by the umbilical they grabbed hold of. The center of the room contains a bunch of people, connected by some form of webs, it’s a giant mass of people, still distinct, but held together. The web seems to run all around and through them, preventing them from escaping. There are also some other animals like rats and dogs in the mass. They all have some kind of cord connecting to them. It’s kind of like a writhing mosh pit. There are other cords coming out from the mass, heading out to other doors and vents from the room.
Tybalt notices that there are some on the outside of the mass who seem to have multiple cords coming out of them, and are dressed in some distinctive robes that seem vaguely cultish.
They run in to attack, and the mass scatters into individual ‘people’, who jump and climb up to the catwalk to get at them. Under where the mass was, is a giant symbol of intertwining flame, which Tybalt recognizes as a symbol of Tzeentch. The veil between the real world and the warp is weaker here, and there seems to have been some kind of ritual here to break through.
The three robed figures stay in the center on the mural, and seem to shoot and disconnect the cords between them in some kind of process.
Some of the creatures managed to drag Dariel down from the catwalk onto the ground below, and started to drag him towards the center mural, and he feels some psychic pull along the way. While being dragged, he used a psychic terrify on them, and in the process unleashed a peril of the warp, loosing a giant wind in the room which tried to knock everyone over.
Liesel is knocked prone on the catwalk, but manages to prop himself up, brace his plasma cannon on the ground, and fire down onto the cultists. He manages to hit exactly inbetween them, blasting them outward, killing one outright. The center of the catwalk collapses as the supports are blown outward.
They manage to shoot down all of the cultists before they achieved whatever they meant to drag Dariel inwards to do, and when they all died, a lot of the crisscrossing web of cords dissolved away.
Even though the cultists died, the mutated humans still remained, connected by cords, and they continued to fight, shrugging off lots of gunfire and hits. Dariel had his foot severed after being snagged by several hooks, but managed to stay alive using his regeneration powers. Dariel and Tord were growing overwhelmed by all of the mutants surrounding them. Dariel managed to escape the throng by using a flashbang and then distorting vision around him. He tried to heal Tord, but this unleashed a blood rain inside the room, covering everyone and making psychic powers more dangerous.
