The rail car approaches the main door control room, affixed to the ceiling of the bay like a wasp’s nest.
We pause the car 500 meters from the wasp’s nest, and attempt to hack into the intercom to broadcast a message, using Liesel’s mimic ability to sound like Father Xylex.
They look at the control room and see people walking around in Guard Flak, they look like basic soldiers, along with some technicians. They do also see an ominous robed figure, and a metallic ‘thing’. It’s like short powered armor, kind of like a crab?
They try to talk to the soldiers there and get them to rebel against the ‘psyker’(?) But, after some confusion, it seemed that there was some fighting in the control room, and the psyker started killing the soldiers there.
There are also defenses there of a couple turrets outside the room, and some ‘walkers’ walking on the ceiling.
They place Tord on the front of the tram car to act like a space marine, while Tybalt commands the walker pilots to side with the space marine. They see the space marine, and it’s OH SHIT, THE ANNOINTED HOUR! Lets’ GO!!
Inside there are lots of guardsmen splattered against the walls, a robed guy in the middle, and some kind of armored carapace crab thing, which is made of metal but covered in glowing symbols. It seems obviously evil. It has a human torso on top of the metal legs, firing some kind of telekinetic bolt around the room.
They charge into the room, accidentally smashing consoles along the way. The robed psyker commands a tech to seal the door, using a power, Dariel tries to command him to stop that, and the poor tech’s body begins to contort in bizarre and painful ways as he tries to obey both commands.
The krabby machine sprouts a psychic blade, which Dariel warns everyone to avoid. The robed guy tries to mind control Tord, but fails, and is then obliterated in one overwhelming hit from the chain-axe.
Liesel and Tybalt work the controls and get the door open while Dariel and Tord smash up the crab monster. They are able to communicate with General Aiken and convince him that the door is open, and he sent his troops in through drop ships.
